Taster Video

It's hard to imagine what it feels like to be in the water next to a 30,000kg whale! So here's a little show reel of some underwater footage of swimming with the humpback whales in Tonga.

Each encounter differs from the next, on your first swim you could be swimming with a mother and calf, the next you could be swimming next to 2 adult whales, calves feeding from their mother and playful calves that just want to show off! It's not unusual to see several different whales in one day.

You don't need to be a qualified diver to swim with whales in Tonga. We will just be snorkelling and swimming. Humpback whales are extremely active above the surface so just basic snorkelling skills are required.
